Pitch Deck Clinic

If you’re a GP trying to secure allocation for your fund, getting an LP’s attention can be tough.

You’re often relying on cold outreach. And the LP will use your pitch deck to determine whether or not to set up a meeting.

Wouldn’t it be sweet to be in the room while the LP reviews your deck?

You’d find out…

  • which parts are appealing

  • which slides raise red flags

  • which elements are confusing

  • what’s missing

Sounds amazing, right?

Well friends, you’re in luck. Because this year at Camp Hustle we’re hosting a pitch deck clinic for GPs.

And it’ll be hosted by a panel of LPs who actively invest in venture capital funds.

How does it work?

If you’re a GP who’s coming to Camp Hustle, you can get your deck reviewed in real-time by three LPs.

Here’s how it’ll work:

  1. Submit your application

  2. We’ll pull five applicant names out of a hat during Camp Hustle

  3. At the pitch deck clinic, we’ll pull up each of those five decks in front of the group

  4. The LPs will spend 10-12 minutes reviewing each deck, walking us through their thought process and offering actionable feedback

It’ll be as if these decks landed in the LPs’ inboxes cold.

Their reactions and advice should give you a clear sense of how your deck is being received, and what you can do to 10x its impact.

Who are the panelists?

Um, only the nicest LPs I’ve ever met.

Meet the panelists

First, there’s Carson Monson. Carson is a seasoned LP with a knack for spotting emerging fund managers and spin-out GPs.

Carson is also hosting a session at Camp Hustle titled “What Makes an Emerging Fund Manager Stand Out – an LP’s Perspective”. You’ll learn a ton from Carson throughout Camp Hustle.

Then there’s Ariel Segal Eck. Ariel is the Managing Director at Segal Ventures, a family office that invests in early-stage women-led VC funds.

Ariel also has 15+ years of operational experience at tech startups, which gives her a unique ability to offer strategic support to her portfolio.

And lastly we have Dave Sachse. Dave is the founder of Family VC, a community of family offices that invests in venture funds.

Dave is also the Managing Partner of Sachse Family Fund, a family office that invests in funds and companies primarily at the pre-seed level.

Each of these remarkable humans is actively investing into venture funds. And they happen to be some of the most kind, intelligent, and emotionally intelligent humans I’ve met.

How can I get selected?

The pitch deck clinic is only available to Camp Hustle ticket holders.

Once you book your ticket, you’ll be invited to apply for the pitch deck clinic.

Your application and deck must be submitted no later than 8pm PT on Monday, May 12, 2025.

Those with a ticket to Camp Hustle who have submitted an application AND their deck by the deadline will be put in a hat.

We’ll select names at random at Camp Hustle on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. You must be present and onsite to qualify.

We’ll select five names. Those five funds will have their decks reviewed in front of the group on Wednesday, May 14 at Camp Hustle.

While your fund may not match the investment thesis of the LPs on the panel, their advice and feedback should be incredibly valuable.

What if my deck isn’t selected?

Don’t fret.

First of all, just listening to the feedback will be valuable. You’ll get takeaways from this session even if your deck isn’t in the hot seat.

Plus… we’re running office hours with the Hustle Fund GPs at the same time as the pitch deck clinic.

That’s right… all VCs at Camp Hustle will have the chance to schedule a 1-1 session with either Eric Bahn, Elizabeth Yin, or Shiyan Koh.

Think of these as speed-coaching sessions. Get feedback on your deck, your pitch, portfolio construction, value-add offerings, hiring strategies, additional revenue streams, or your differentiation factor.

Anything fund related, the Hustle Fund GPs are here to help.

Signups for these office hours will take place onsite at Camp Hustle

Ready, set, go

Whether you’re looking for feedback on your deck or just need some advice about your raise, Camp Hustle is designed to offer tangible value to VCs.

We know management fees are precious, and we aim to make this event as valuable for GPs as possible.

In addition to the personalized, actionable advice onsite, you’ll also meet hundreds of other investors who will help you push your fund to the next level… whether that’s through deal flow, introductions, referrals, or friendship.

Tickets go up in a week… so now’s a great time to book your spot.

See you there?
